  …do you have your costume yet? That’s right y’all, THIS FRIDAY marks the 2009 Halloween Critical Mass!

  Bring your wackiest bike, your best costume, water, noise makers, instruments, flashing lights, bike stereos, friends, pets, children, and anything else you need to make Critical Mass the excellent event it always is, just make sure you’re THERE.

  Be at the LSU Clock Tower at around 5pm this Friday to be part of the action. There are a lot of parties happening afterward as well as The Caroloota Street Party!!!!!!

  Folks, that is a photograph of seven year old Kylie Bruehler. She is at a funeral service to bury her parents, both of whom were killed last week when a driver veered onto the shoulder and drove his pickup truck into them.

  They were riding together on a tandem.

  The local news reports that “investigators say there are no charges on the driver. They believe this was an accident and that somehow the driver lost control of his truck.”

  Texas’s governor recently vetoed a law that would mandate a safe passing distance for cyclists, saying it was unnecessary.

  Friday Oct. 2, Meets at Highland Coffees (look for the table with the helmet outside) at 5:30pm to bike to 1284 Perkins Rd.  A very scenic 5mi ride along the lakes.  The event is from 6-10pm.
